Beginner covers all 26 letters A–Z, all 10 digits 0–9, and 8 punctuation marks (period, comma, question mark, exclamation, slash, at-sign, equals, plus). Each session has 20 questions weighted toward letters, with some numbers and punctuation. Distractors use different pattern lengths so you can build pattern recognition confidence before tackling confusable pairs. Hints are free and the animation runs at 8 WPM — ideal for first-time learners.

Intermediate uses the same 44 characters as Beginner but introduces confusable-pair distractors — patterns that are the same length and visually similar. Common confusable pairs include E (·) vs I (··), A (·−) vs N (−·), K (−·−) vs C (−·−·), and U (··−) vs V (···−). It also adds 4 essential prosigns: AR (end of message), SK (end of contact), BT (new paragraph), and KN (go ahead). Encode mode unlocks — you see a letter and pick the correct pattern. Advanced covers three types of questions across 25 questions per session: all 10 prosigns (AR, SK, BT, KN, AS, CT, SOS, HH, AA, CL), the top 20 Q-codes (QSO, QTH, QRZ, QSL, QRM, QRN, and more), and 20 common Morse abbreviations used in real radio communication (CQ, DE, 73, 88, HI, TNX, TU, OM, YL, PSE, WX, ANT, RIG, RST, CW, DX, ES, NR, XYL, SOS). Speed mode is available with a 10-second timer and 15 WPM animation.

Prosigns (procedural signs) are special Morse sequences transmitted as a single unbroken run — no inter-letter space between characters. They communicate operational procedures rather than text content. The most important are: AR (·−·−·) = end of message; SK (···−·−) = end of contact or signing off; BT (−···−) = paragraph break or new topic; KN (−·−−·) = go ahead, specific station only; SOS (···−−−···) = international distress; HH (········) = error, disregard last transmission. Prosigns are standard in both amateur and maritime Morse communication.

Q-codes are three-letter abbreviations beginning with Q that were developed in the early 1900s for international radio communication. Each code stands for a standard question or statement — for example, QTH means "my location is", QRM means "I am experiencing interference", and QSL means "I confirm receipt." Q-code questions in the Advanced level show the abbreviation and ask you to select its meaning from four options. This tests operational Morse vocabulary essential for amateur (ham) radio operators.
